· 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces / 170 g each)
· 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
· 1/4 cup honey
· 1 tablespoon olive oil
· 1 teaspoon chili flakes
· 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
· 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
· 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
· 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
· 3/4 teaspoon salt
· 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
· 1 teaspoon lemon zest
· 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
1. Pat the salmon fillets dry and season both sides with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
2. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and stir in the honey, chili flakes, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Remove from heat.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the salmon for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
4. Lower the heat, pour the hot honey butter glaze over the salmon, and spoon it over the fillets for 1–2 minutes.
5. Remove from heat, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve immediately.
Adjust the chili flakes to control the spice level. Serve with rice, vegetables, or salad for a complete meal.
