Tender shrimp coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze, ready in about 30 minutes and packed with lean protein.

Ingredients

1 pound large raw shrimp peeled and deveined
1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
3 cloves garlic minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

 

  • Pat shrimp dry and set aside.

  • Whisk honey soy sauce garlic ginger and lemon juice in a bowl.

  • Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry.

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium high heat.

  • Sear shrimp 1 to 2 minutes per side then remove.

  • Pour sauce into skillet and simmer briefly.

  • Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened.

  • Return shrimp to pan and toss to coat.

  • Cook 1 to 2 minutes until shrimp are fully opaque.

  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
