This sweet and spicy Cajun honey butter salmon features tender fillets coated in a sticky, caramelized glaze that’s perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces / 170 g each)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (42 g)

  • 1/4 cup honey (85 g)

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (9 g)

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (9 g)

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (15 ml)

  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (1 g)

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (3 g)

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1 g)

  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (4 g)

Instructions

  • Pat salmon dry and season with salt, pepper, and 1/2 tablespoon Cajun seasoning.

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon 4–5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.

  • Stir in honey, lemon juice, remaining Cajun seasoning, and smoked paprika. Simmer 2–3 minutes.

  • Return salmon to skillet and spoon glaze over fillets. Cook 2–3 minutes until sticky and cooked through.

  • Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

  • Use fresh salmon for best texture and flavor.

  • Reheat gently to maintain moisture.
