· Salmon fillets – 4 fillets (about 6 oz / 170 g each)
· Extra virgin olive oil – 3 tablespoons (45 ml)
· Garlic, minced – 4 cloves
· Za’atar spice blend – 2 tablespoons (about 12 g)
· Fresh lemon juice – 2 tablespoons (30 ml)
· Lemon zest – 1 teaspoon
· Kosher salt – 1 teaspoon (5 g), or to taste
· Black pepper – ½ teaspoon (1 g)
· Fresh parsley, chopped – 2 tablespoons (optional)
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the salmon fillets dry and season lightly with salt and black pepper.
2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, za’atar, lemon juice, and lemon zest until well combined.
3. Place salmon on a lined baking sheet or oven-safe skillet and spoon the mixture evenly over the fillets.
4. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
5. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve with lemon wedges.
